If you have not noticed, there are a lot of toxins in our environment these days. Moreover, many of the processed foods we eat are filled with toxins known as free radicals. There is unfortunately little we can do to avoid being attacked by these free radicals. Maximized Living Doctor Tony Nalda makes a few suggestions about eliminating free radicals from our systems.
Let us begin with a quick discussion on free radicals. We get free radicals in our system from a number of things. Many of the foods we eat have free radicals in them. The air that we breathe can also contain free radicals – especially if we are around fumes or smoke. Smoking of course can also introduce free radicals into our system.
What exactly are free radicals? In simple terms free radicals are particles which our bodies have no use for. Once introduced into our system they have nowhere to go since they cannot be used and they accumulate, causing a host of health problems. At one end of the spectrum, free radicals can cause problems such as unhealthy skin. At the other end of the spectrum, free radicals can cause problems as severe as cancer.
So it should be clear that we want to eliminate free radicals from our systems. This can only be accomplished by taking in antioxidants. Many foods are rich in naturally occurring antioxidants. For example, blueberries, acai fruit, and most vegetables are a good source of antioxidants. You can also supplement your diet with organic supplements to increase your antioxidant intake. These antioxidants will essentially attack the free radicals in your system and prevent the negative effects they can cause.
Maximized Living Doctor Tony Nalda suggests adding as many antioxidants to your diet as possible. There are too many health reasons to not take this advice.
